Factors Associated with Health Care Service of Health Insurance Card in Migrant Workers, Rayong Province

Abstract

 The aims of this cross-sectional study to explored factors associated with healthcare service among migrant workers with insurance who had already register at hospitals in Rayong province. The participants were enrolled from Rayong Center, Klang and Plougdang hospitals. In Rayong province, after sale health insurance card and have not research evaluated of health care service in this. All 392 participants were collected data by questionnaires, during 1 November 2022 to 31 December 2022. The data of was analyzed by frequency (n), percentage (%), mean (Average) and standard deviation (S.D.) and hypothesis testing were performed with t-Test, One-way ANOVA and Correlation. 

All participants 392, most of participants were Cambodian (49.5%), an age of participants was 26-35 years (Average: 26.7 years), life time in Rayong province was 5-6 years (Average; 5.6 years), income was 10,001-15000 Bath (Average: 12,500 Bath) and 3-4 times (Average: 3 times) for payment healthcare Insurance. The result stratified by excellence score was overall satisfaction of healthcare insurance (  = 23.62, SD = 2.61), good score were encouragement (  = 11.36, SD = 1.36) and reliability (  = 9.19, SD = 1.29) and fairly score was perception information (  = 6.95, SD = 1.41), respectively. In addition, the result of hypothesis testing, this study shown significant level by gender (p = 0.037), age (p < 0.001), nationality (p < 0.001), life time (p < 0.001), occupation (p < 0.001), income (p < 0.001) and times to pay for insurance (p < 0.001), respectively. Furthermore, the overall the satisfaction (p < 0.001) and decided pay for health insurance (p < 0.001). Therefore, these factors were significantly associated with service system of healthcare insurance among migrant workers in Rayong province. This study would be improved health care service system and public relations for Non-Thai Residence in Rayong province to be healthcare insurance payment and reduce the expenses of bad debt from migrant worker got health service.
