Factors Affecting Safety Behavior of Employees of a Private Company in Kalasin Province

Abstract

        This research is a survey research with the objective of studying factors affecting the safety behavior of employees of a private company. Data were collected by interviewing a sample of 175 people using statistics for descriptive data analysis. and inferential analysis using Chi-square test, Odd Ratio (OR), 95%CI. p-value < 0.05

       The results of the research found that employees of a private company. have a safe behavior was at a low level, 55.40 percent, attitude towards work safety was at a high level of 58.30% and there were 2 variables affecting safety behavior of employees of a private company as follows: 1) The frequency of working overtime,

no more than 3 days per week, was 3.48 times. 2) No unpleasant odor at work was 2.02 times, statistically significant at 0.05

            Suggestions from this research are companies should increase activities to review safety practices for employees. and strengthening safety behaviors in the work of employees to be more frequent Especially among employees who have been working for more than 4 years because employees who have been working for more than 4 years lack awareness, care, think they have expertise. Never had an accident at work Therefore, there are inappropriate safety behaviors and should adjust the work schedule to reduce overtime. By requiring employees to work overtime no more than 3 days per week because employees who work overtime more than 3 days per week Not enough rest time Therefore, there is a greater risk of unsafe behavior.
