The study of Unit cost service of Sub-district Health Promotion Hospitals in Chaloem Phra kiat District, Buriram Province, Fiscal year 2022

Abstract

The sub-district health promotion has the highest total cost and unit cost every year. The study aims to the overall total direct cost of sub-district health promotion hospitals, the overall full cost, and the unit cost of patient service and non-patient service in sub-district health promotion hospitals, Chaloem Phra kiat District, Buriram Province, Fiscal year 2022. The simultaneous equation method allocates costs using a linear equation and an allocation matrix based on the hospital cost profile.

This research is descriptive research from a retrospective study. The sample size is a unit cost analysis worker from eight sub-district health promotion hospitals. Data collection by unit cost analysis data records from October 2022 to June 2023. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics.

The result shows that overall, sub-district health promotion has a total direct cost of 24,194,692.17 baths. The patient service has 15,326,543.92 baths of full cost, and the average unit cost of the NCD clinic (DM HT) has the highest cost of 260.39 baths per visit. The non-patient service has 6,620,006.62 baths of full cost, and the average unit cost of the home health care service has the highest cost of 547.44 baths per visit.

The suggestion is that there should be the development of an OPD clinic service system, health promotion and prevention services in hospitals, NCD patients, and home health care services to use resources wisely and with efficacy.
