Factors Relating Care Behavior to Elderly Dependency of Caregivers under the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic in Chachoengsao Province

This is descriptive research. The objective is to study the behavior of caregivers for the elderly who are dependent. and study the relationship between personal factors, predisposing factors, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors and the behavior of caring for dependent elderly people under the situation of the outbreak of coronavirus disease in 2019. The study sample consisted of 82 elderly caregivers in Mueang District, Chachoengsao Province. The data were analyzed using statistical packages. Analyzed with descriptive statistics including frequency distributions, percentages, means, and standard deviations, while correlations were analyzed using chi-square values and correlation coefficients.
The results of the study found that the behavior of elderly caregivers caring for dependent elderly people during the outbreak of coronavirus disease in 2019 was at a good level (mean = 2.60, S.D. = 0.490). When analyzing the factors that were related to the behavior of caring for dependent elderly caregivers, it was found that predisposing factors such as knowledge and attitude were significantly correlated to the behavior of caring for dependent elderly caregivers statistically at the 0.05 level. Personal factors include gender, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors were not correlated to the behavior of caring for dependent elderly of elderly caregivers. Sources for research Research should study various problems. in the herbal medicine of elderly caregivers in a qualitative manner so that the data can be used to plan the development of a care system for the elderly with dependent leadership.
