FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH COVID-19 PREVENTION PRACTICE OF VILLAGE HEALTH VOLUNTEER IN CHUMPHAE DISTRICT, KHONKAEN PROVINCE

Abstract
The situation of the COVID-19 pandemic has spread. Therefore, the public health work obtained village health volunteers (VHVs) to play an important role in representing the front line, working proactively. To study factors and to study knowledge, attitudes, and practice (KAP) in preventing COVID-19 pandemic in the village health volunteers in Chum Phae District, Khon Kaen Province. This study was an analytical cross-sectional study, 681 VHVs. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.92. Multiple logistic regression was used to associated between factors and covid-19 prevention practice of VHVs.
Results showed that VHVs possessed a high level of knowledge, had a moderate attitude, and have a good level of protective practice. Factors related to the practice of preventing COVID-19 in the VHVs in important aspects such as (1) the Distancing method: female (Adjusted OR = 2.83; 95%CI 1.31-6.10), duration of being a VHV (Adjusted OR = 1.08; 95%CI 1.02-1.13 and COVID-19 knowledge scores (Adjusted OR = 1.50; 95%CI 1.24-1.80). (2) the Mask Wearing method: including other careers (Adjusted OR = 0.17; 95%CI 0.06-0.50) and COVID-19 knowledge score (Adjusted OR = 1.65; 95%CI 1.32. -2.07). (3) the hand washing method: Female (Adjusted OR = 3.22; 95%CI 1.42-7.29), Secondary /Higher Education (Adjusted OR = 2.24; 95%CI 1.01-4.97), duration of being a VHV (Adjusted OR = 1.06; 95%CI 1.00-1.12), occupation (Adjusted OR = 0.26; 95%CI 0.12-0.57) and COVID-19 knowledge score (Adjusted OR = 1.74; 95%CI 1.43-2.11).
Conclusion, Factors related to the practice of preventing COVID-19 in the VHVs classified by Distancing, Mask Wearing, Hand Washing, Temperature, and registration methods, or Thai Cha-Na application, were gender, age, education level, occupation, duration of VHVs., knowledge score and attitude score.
