Abstract

A 78-year-old woman suffered from fractured silver tracheostomy tube dislodged into the left main bronchus. A rigid bronchoscopy was performed under general anesthesia starting with spontaneous ventilation technique but unable to remove it. The technique was then changed to control ventilation using intravenous drugs combined with neuromuscular blocking agents. At this time the foreign body was successfully removed.
