Training Program for Nurse Anesthetists in Thailand: Navigating Future Trends and Challenges

Abstract
Nurse anesthetists play a crucial role in the delivery of safe and effective anesthesia care, and their education and training are essential for ensuring competence in this specialized field. The curriculum for nurse anesthetist programs has been revised to incorporate a broader range of topics, such as advanced pharmacology, physiology, pathophysiology, and anatomy. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, patient safety, and critical thinking skills. Simulation-based education has become integral to nurse anesthetist training, allowing students to practice and refine their skills in realistic scenarios. The advancements in nurse anesthetist education encompass various areas including the transition to doctoral education, equip nurse anesthetists with advanced leadership and research skills, and influences healthcare policy. The integration of online and hybrid learning models allow them to access didactic coursework remotely while engaging in hands-on training. Additionally, the importance of continuing education and lifelong learning in nurse anesthetist practice is highlighted, with resources and opportunities available for professionals to stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and technologies. This article aims to demonstrate that modern learning formats enhance understanding and mastery of difficult subjects more effectively than traditional methods.
