ภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านทักษิณในการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้ที่เป็นโรคติดสุรา

บทคัดย่อ

ภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านทักษิณในการดูแลสุขภาพเป็นความรู้ ความเชื่อ ที่เกิดจากการสั่งสมประสบการณ์ของ ชาวทักษิณ ที่ให้คุณค่าต่อดุลยภาพและสุขภาพองค์รวมในการจัดการปัญหาสุขภาพ การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพครั้ง นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการใช้ภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านทักษิณในการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้ที่เป็นโรคติดสุรา ผู้ให้ข้อมูล ประกอบด้วย แพทย์พื้นบ้าน และปราชญ์ชาวบ้าน จำนวน 12 ราย และผู้ที่เป็นโรคติดสุราจำนวน 4 ราย คัดเลือก แบบเฉพาะเจาะจง ร่วมกับการบอกต่อแบบลูกโซ่หรือสโนว์บอล รวบรวมข้อมูลระหว่างเดือนมีนาคมถึงเดือน ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2552 ด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกและการสังเกต ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

ภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านทักษิณในการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้ที่เป็นโรคติดสุราเน้นการบำบัดเยียวยาที่เชื่อมโยงกันใน ทุกมิติของชีวิต และตามความเชื่อการเจ็บป่วยที่ส่งผลต่อความสมดุลของธาตุในร่างกาย การบำบัดเยียวยาจึงให้ ความสำคัญต่อการป้องกัน การรักษา และการคืนสู่สุขภาพครอบคลุมด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ สังคม และจิตวิญญาณ ที่สอดคล้องกับบริบททางสังคมวัฒนธรรม ภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านทักษิณที่ใช้ในการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้ที่เป็นโรคติดสุรา ประกอบด้วย 1) สมุนไพร: ถอนพิษสุรา ปรับสมดุลธาตุ ในกรณีนี้จะมีการเลือกใช้สมุนไพรที่มีสรรพคุณในการ ถอนพิษสุรา ร่วมกับสรรพคุณของการปรับสมดุลธาตุของร่างกาย 2) อาหาร: ถอนพิษสุรา บำรุงร่างกาย ภายหลัง การใช้สมุนไพรถอนพิษสุรา ผู้บำบัดจะเลือกให้อาหารที่มีสรรพคุณเสริมฤทธิ์สมุนไพรในการขับพิษหรือถอนพิษสุรา รวมทั้งให้อาหารที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างพลังและบำรุงร่างกาย เพื่อสร้างดุลยภาพธาตุของร่างกาย และ 3) พิธีกรรม: น้อมนำปฏิบัติ ใช้หลักเบญจศีล เป็นการใช้กุศโลบายการสร้างพันธะสัญญาต่อตนร่วมกับใช้หลักทางศาสนาพุทธใน การบำบัดเลิกดื่มสุรา การบำบัดรักษาเยียวยาดังกล่าวจะใช้ร่วมกันเพื่อให้เกิดผลต่อสุขภาพแบบองค์รวมของผู้ที่เป็น โรคติดสุรา

ผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้จึงเป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานสำคัญที่สะท้อนการใช้ภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านทักษิณในการดูแลสุขภาพของ ผู้ที่เป็นโรคติดสุรา การบูรณาการภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นกับภูมิปัญญาสากลในการบำบัดเยียวยาผู้ที่เป็นโรคติดสุราจึงมี ความสำคัญต่อประสิทธิภาพการบำบัดรักษา จากความ สอดรับกับวัฒนธรรมความเชื่อด้านสุขภาพตามบริบทของ สังคมวัฒนธรรม

Abstract

Thaksin local wisdom regarding health is knowledge and beliefs resulting from accumulated experiences among Thaksin people. Such wisdom places a great value on stability and holistic health for health problem management. This qualitative research was thus designed to examine the use of Thaksin local wisdom for health care among persons with alcohol dependence. Informants included 12 traditional healers and traditional scholars, and four persons with alcohol dependence chosen by purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection was undertaken during March to October 2009 through in-depth interviews and observations. Data analysis was performed by content analysis.

The results of study

Thaksin local wisdom for health care among persons with alcohol dependence emphasized healing that linked all life dimensions and based illness as affecting bodily imbalance. The healing thus emphasized health prevention, treatment and recovery covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual dimensions consistent with the socio-cultural context. Thaksin local wisdom for health care among persons with alcohol dependence included: 1) Herbs: alcohol detoxification and neutralization of destabilizing bodily elements, in this case herbs with pharmacological action of alcohol detoxification along with re-stabilizing bodily elements were chosen for healing, 2) Diets: alcohol detoxification and nurturing, the healers adopted types of food that catalyzed herbal action and enhanced the stability of the body’s elements, and 3) Traditional rituals: perform rituals, practicing five precepts, self commitment and Buddhist concepts were strategically combined for drinking cessation. All of these healing practices were adopted in combination so as to advance holistic health of persons with alcohol dependence.

These results thus reflect the fundamental information of Thaksin local wisdom among persons with alcohol dependence for health care management. An integration of local wisdom and universal wisdom for healing to assist persons with alcohol dependence is therefore important to foster efficient treatment that is consistent with cultural health beliefs based on the socio-cultural context.
