Publication Ethics

Duties of Editors

  1. Review manuscripts to ensure their adherence to the aims and scope of the journal.
  2. Select appropriate reviewers to evaluate manuscripts and coordinate the double-blind review process.
  3. Monitor the peer review process prior to publication.
  4. If any significant issue arises during the review process, discuss the matter to reach a consensus within the editor team.
  5. Ensure no conflicts of interest. Editors are prohibited from using submitted manuscripts for personal or commercial gain.
  6. Base the decision to accept or decline manuscripts on their content, not personal opinions.
  7. If it is found that the article submitted for publication has previously been published, copied, or duplicated, editors have the right to reject its publication in order to uphold academic integrity and prevent unethical conduct and publication practices.
  8. Constantly strive to improve the quality of the journal.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Ensure there are no conflicts of interest with the author.
  2. Evaluate manuscripts based on academic principles, without bias or personal opinions.
  3. Do not use assigned manuscripts for personal gain.
  4. If a manuscript under evaluation is found to have been previously published, copied, or duplicated, inform the editorial team immediately for further investigation before publication.
  5. Do not disclose any information from the manuscript to a third party.
  6. Complete the manuscript evaluation within the specified timeframe.

Duties of Authors

  1. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not be previously published. In addition, they must not be copied or reproduced from personal or external sources, including republication in different languages.
  2. Do not submit the same manuscript to different journals simultaneously.
  3. Ensure that texts or any parts from different authors are properly cited and referenced according to academic principles.
  4. Prepare the manuscript according to the journal’s publication guidelines.
  5. The names of all researchers appearing in the manuscript must be those who originally participated in the research.
  6. Revise the manuscript based on the reviewers’ feedback within the specified timeframe.
  7. If the author wishes to withdraw the manuscript, inform the editors immediately.
  8. For research involving human subjects, attach the Institutional Review Board (IRB) certificate and include the IRB number or its certificate code in the manuscript. Additionally, provide details of the research methodology that aligns with the Declaration of Helsinki’s research ethics, including:

              1) The IRB to which the original proposal was submitted and the IRB number.
              2) Consent methods and how participant’s consent was obtained.
              3) Risks and risk management strategies.
              4) Whether the sample group includes vulnerable individuals and how they are protected.
              5) Measures to prevent privacy breaches and ensure confidentiality.
