Professional nurses and entrepreneurship in the 21st century

Health trends are affected by the advancement of sciences and technology as well as changes in population structure due to an aging society. The current global COVID-19 or coronavirus 2019 is a dramatically changing public health situation. This has led to changes in the pharmaceutical industry, health policy, and investment in health. As a result, healthcare technology is growing, and health products are gaining in popularity. These changes influence the public health care model and affect the nursing profession. The nursing profession needs to be prepared and adapt their knowledge and managerial skills to meet the future needs of society.
This article offers options for becoming an entrepreneurship or self-employed in health. It discusses the direction, provides an overview of health business opportunities and health business examples as guidance for careers in health in the age of disruption technologist and to support the rapidly changing public health situation.
