Editorial

On behalf of the editorial board of the Journal of Chulabhorn Royal Academy (JCRA), I would like to send our best wishes for the new year 2021. This new year, we have adapted to the "New Normal" way of life exemplified by changing the traditional new year countdown to fully respecting the social distancing advice.

For this issue the editorial board is pleased to have a number of articles written by external scholars besides the Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) own. Most notably is an invited article by our honored guest Professor Kasem Watanachai, M.D., Privy Councilor. His article is entitled "The Past, The Present towards the Sustainable Future". We would like to express our gratitude for this lead article in this first issue of the year 2021.

The research articles "Xanthones from Garcinia Mangostana Inhibit Cell Proliferation and Migration in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cells" and "Genome Characterization for Secondary Metabolite Production of the Bacterium Microbispora sp. KK1-11" are based on scientific research with very interesting results. Other important articles include "Professional Nurses and Entrepreurship in the 21st Century" and "Nursing in Data Technology Era". These reflect the continuing advancement in the nursing profession amidst rapid changes in modern society and technology.

The editorial board would like to wish all the readers, scholars and researchers success and happiness in creating fruitful academic and research works for the year 2021.
