สภาพปัจจุบันและแนวทางพัฒนาการให้บริการเพื่อเสริมสร้างความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพ และทักษะการจัดการตนเองของผู้ป่วยโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรัง

การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพประเภทปรากฏการณ์วิทยานี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน และแนวทางพัฒนา การบริการสุขภาพเพื่อเสริมสร้างความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพและทักษะการจัดการตนเองของผู้ป่วยโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรังในคลินิกโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรังของโรงพยาบาลในสังกัดกระทรวงสาธารณสุขในจังหวัดหนึ่งของภาคใต้ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ พยาบาลวิชาชีพ 15 คน และผู้ป่วยโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรัง 38 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แนวคำถามปลายเปิด การตรวจสอบความน่าเชื่อถือของข้อมูลใช้วิธีการตรวจสอบแบบสามเส้าในด้านการรวบรวมข้อมูล โดยมีผู้ร่วมวิจัยร่วมตรวจสอบความถูกต้อง และนำข้อมูลไปวิเคราะห์ด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาตามกระบวนการวิเคราะห์แก่นสาระ
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สภาพปัจจุบันการให้บริการ แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ประเด็นหลัก ประกอบด้วย 1) รูปแบบการให้บริการ 2) สถานการณ์ความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพและทักษะการจัดการตนเอง 3) อุปสรรคเชิงระบบในการรับบริการ และ 4) ผลกระทบทางจิตสังคมและภาระทางเศรษฐกิจ แนวทางพัฒนาการให้บริการสุขภาพ แบ่งออกเป็น 6 ประเด็นหลัก ประกอบด้วย 1) การพัฒนารูปแบบบริการแบบบูรณาการ 2) การพัฒนาทักษะการปฏิบัติของผู้ป่วย 3) การจัดระบบคัดกรองและติดตามผู้ป่วยตามระดับความรุนแรง 4) การพัฒนาสื่อการเรียนรู้ที่ตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้ป่วย 5) การเพิ่มช่องทางสื่อสารสองทางเพื่อการติดตามอาการ และ 6) การสนับสนุนบทบาทครอบครัวและชุมชน ผลการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่าการให้บริการยังขาดความต่อเนื่อง ผู้ป่วยมีความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพและทักษะการจัดการตนเองที่ไม่เพียงพอ ขณะที่การบริการสุขภาพมีข้อจำกัดด้านเวลา บุคลากร และสื่อการเรียนรู้ จึงควรพัฒนาแนวทางบริการที่สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของผู้ป่วย เพื่อให้ผู้ป่วยมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี และลดภาระระบบบริการสุขภาพ
