Focus and Scope

Journal publishing policy and objective is to:

  1. be a center for exchanging knowledge, and experiences including disseminating new technology of care and nursing for patients with heart and thoracic, chronic diseases, and other science-related.
  2. serve as a medium for disseminating knowledge, innovation, and research among health teams including interested multidisciplinary academics and members of the Heart and Thoracic Nurses Association of Thailand

Peer Review Process

Article consideration criteria

      The research article and an academic article will be checked for quality by at least two experts with double blindness.

Publication Frequency

 2 issues per year (January-June) (July-December)

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The Cardio-thoracic Nursing Journal

The Cardio-thoracic Nursing Journal is produced by the Cardio-thoracic Nurses Association. The journal publishes academic articles research articles about caring for cardio-thoracic patients, chronic disease patients, and related science.  The journal is produced 2 issues per year, January-June, July-December.

The journal has been considered by the Thai Journal Citation Index Center and was qualified in group 1 quality journals from 2012 - 2015, a total of 3 years, and from 2015 - 2019, a total of 5 years.

Journal History

Previously, the Journal was called the Cardio-thoracic Nurses Club Journal prepared by the Cardio-thoracic Nurses Club. The journal was first published in 1988, releasing 2 volumes per year. The first volume was produced in January - June, and the second volume was in July - December of every year. Assoc. Prof. Atchara Techarithipitat was the first editor. There is a team of the Cardio-thoracic Nurses Club working together to produce the journal continuously. It is a journal in which Mahidol University recommends that graduate students publish their research before graduating.

 When the club was established as the Cardiothoracic Nurses Association on September 30, 2004, the journal continued to be produced to improve the quality of academic articles and research according to national journal standards and the TCI database. In 2011, it was certified to be in the database of the Thai Journal Citation Index Center (TCI).  In 2012, the journal received quality certification from TCI (Group 1) in the field of science and technology for 3 years until December 2014 and from 2015 to 2019, a total of 5 years. In 2017-2023, it was certified. to be in the ACI (Asian Citation Index) database.
