Changes in Thai Society and Culture and Trends of Nursing Profession

บทคัดย่อ

The change of Thai society and culture has resulted in changes of health status and public health
services. The purpose of this paper is to discuss about trends of nursing profession arising from the changes
of the changes of Thai society and culture. Contents included changes of Thai society and culture and impact
of changes on Thai people health. For example, there are changing population structure to be an aging
society, having various generations, increasing intensity and complexity pattern of illness, increasing the
variety of culture in Thai society, and Thai health policies to increase patients’ access to care and to promote
health innovation. As a result, trends in nursing profession are presented in terms of nursing administration,
nursing education, nursing research, and nursing practice.
