Abstract

Nyloblumenthal technique

The combination of the Mininuc and nylon loop technique for manual small incision
cataract surgery (MSICS) is described in this article. After the nucleus is divided into 2
fragments by a nylon loop, the glide sheet is inserted under the nucleus and each
fragments is then removed through a 4-5 mm sclera tunnel incision by hydro-expression.
This technique provides smaller incision for surgery in the patients with white cataract.
