Nonsurgical endodontic treatment in mandibular first molar with large periapical lesion : A case report.
Main Article Content
Abstract
Treatment of a mandibular fi rst molar with large periapical lesion by conventional endodontic therapy is reported. Small periapical lesions frequently heal after conventional endodontic therapy whereas larger lesions
may need additional treatment other teeth or structures may be damaged unnecessarily. This report suggests that even large periapical lesions could heal following conservative endodontic therapy. At 6 months
recall satisfactory bone healing had occurred, and the adjacent teeth remain vital and normal. This report suggests that even large periapical lesions could response to non surgical endodontic treatment, no need for
further surgery or other root canal therapy on teeth initially surrounded by this lesion.
Keywords : nonsurgical endodontic treatment, large periapical lesion.
