Health status and health behaviors of personnel in Klaeng Hospital.

Abstract

Objective : To determined health status and health behaviors of Klaeng hospital personnel.

Methods : A random sampling questionnaires of 233 subjects were taken during October to November 2008. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics.

Results : The results showed that most of Klaeng hospital personnel demonstrated healthy Status (79.4 percent), no underlying diseases (72.1 percent),normal body mass index (74.2 percent), normal waist circumference (78.5 percent). Overall health behaviors of Klaeng hospital personnel demonstrated in moderate level. Health behaviors showed good level in accidental prevention, alcoholic intake, smoking and safe sex behaviors. It showed modurate level in general health, stress management, high risk food intake behaviors. And it showed low level in physical activity behavior and entertainments.The study indicated that there was statistic significant relationship between health status and health behaviors at level.01.
