Retrieval root fracture in maxillary sinus via caldwell-luc operation.

Abstract

Abstract : The accidental displacement of a root into maxillary sinus is a complication of exodontia. The root should normally be removed early rather than late in order to minimize the maxillary sinus complication. Caldwell-Luc is the standard procedure for surgery of maxillary sinus.This paper illustrates the principles of the Caldwell-Luc procedure and the relations of maxillary sinus floor to the roots of
upper posterior teeth.
