Reduction of anterior shoulder dislocation by Modified traction countertraction technique.

Abstract

Several Techniques are used for Redictopm of Anterior Dislocation of Shoulder. Each Technique has some differences and disadvantages such as technical demand ,force application. patient position. The authors have used the modified traction countertraction technique in 20 patients for reduction of 20 anterior dislocation of shoulder. The average follow up was 2.25 weeks, the outcome was assessed on the success of reduction, sensation of force application, immediate complication after reduction. All cases had complete rediction with good results. The procedure was not associated with neurovascular damage.
