บทคัดย่อ
ผู้ป่วยมาพบทันตแพทย์เนื่องจากขาดความมั่นใจในรอยยิ้มซึ่งเป็นผลมาจากปัญหาการมีช่องว่างระหว่างฟันหน้าบนซี่ 13 ถึง ซี่ 23 โดยมีช่องว่างจำนวน 4 ช่อง ขนาด 0.5 ม.ม.-2 ม.ม. ช่องว่างเหล่านี้มีสาเหตุมาจากขนาดฟันและการเรียงตัวของฟันที่ผิดปกติ ในกรณีนี้การรักษาโดยวิธีการจัดฟันเพียงอย่างเดียวอาจไม่ใช่การรักษาที่เหมาะสม เนื่องจากไม่สามารถแก้ไขขนาดฟันผู้ป่วยได้ บทความนี้ได้แสดงรายงานการรักษาผู้ป่วยที่มีช่องว่างระหว่างฟันหน้าบนซึ่งมีสาเหตุมาจากขนาดฟันและการเรียงตัวของฟันหน้าบนที่ผิดปกติ ซึ่งได้รับการรักษาโดยการอุดด้วยเรซินคอมโพสิตวิธีตรง ตามหลักเกณฑ์ลักษณะความสวยงามในอุดมคติเพื่อปิดช่องว่างระหว่างฟันและปรับรูปร่างฟันให้เหมาะสม เป็นวิธีการรักษาที่มีการอนุรักษ์เนื้อฟันไว้ได้มาก ใช้เวลารักษาน้อย และมีค่าใช้จ่ายไม่สูง หลังการรักษาพบว่าผู้ป่วยพอใจในการรักษา มีความมั่นใจในรอยยิ้มมากขึ้น
