Abstract

ภาวะปัสสาวะเล็ดขณะไอ จามในสตรี เป็นหนึ่งในกลุ่มอาการระบบทางเดินปัสสาวะส่วนล่าง (Lower urinary tract symptoms) ที่พบได้บ่อยในสตรี แม้ว่าไม่ได้เป็นภาวะที่รุนแรงหรือเป็นอันตรายต่อชีวิต แต่มีข้อมูลจากหลายการศึกษาพบว่า ภาวะดังกล่าวก่อให้เกิดผลกระทบในทางลบต่อคุณภาพชีวิต การให้ความใส่ใจในการดูแลรักษาสตรีที่ประสบปัญหาภาวะดังกล่าวจะส่งผลให้สตรีกลุ่มนี้มีสุขภาพและคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดียิ่งขึ้น ปัจจุบันเริ่มมีการใช้สเต็มเซลล์มาใช้ในการกระตุ้นเนื้อเยื่อบริเวณกล้ามเนื้อรอบท่อปัสสาวะให้ทำงานได้ดีขึ้น และพัฒนาสารที่ออกฤทธิ์โดยตรงต่อตัรับ Adrenergic และ Serotonergic เพื่อให้ได้ผลการรักษาที่มีประสิทธิภาพยิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งยังคงต้องทำการศึกษาเพิ่มเติมต่อไป
