Abstract

ผู้หญิงเป็นจำนวนมากมีประสบการณ์ที่คุ้นเคยกับอาการปวดประจำเดือนซึ่งส่งผลต่อสภาพร่งกาย จิตใจตลอดจนคุณภาพชีวิต ทั้งๆ ที่อาการปวดประจำเดือนส่งผลกระทบทางลบต่อผู้หญิง โดยส่วนใหญ่ผู้หญิงมักเลือกที่จะเก็บอาการปวดไว้กับตนเอง โดยไม่เข้ารับการรักษาหรือคำปรึกษาจากผู้ให้บริการทางสุขภาพเพื่อบรรเทาอาการ บทความนี้กล่าวถึงสาเหตุ กลไก ความชุก ผลกระทบ และวิธีการจัดการต่ออาการปวดประจำเดือนชนิดปฐมภูมิ ซึ่งพยาบาลสามารถที่จะนำไปใช้เพื่อเป็นทางเลือกในการบรเทาอาการปวดประจำเดือนทั้งต่อตนเองรวมถึงผู้มารับบริการ ตลอดจนการนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการสร้างเสริมสุขภาพในกลุ่มผู้หญิงวัยรุ่นตลอดจนผู้หญิงที่อยู่ในวัยทำงานในการรับมือกับอาการปวดประจำเดือน
