การใช้ Lateral Calaneal Artery Skin Flap รักษาบาดแผลบริเวณหลังส้นเท้า

Abstract
Objective: To describe the operation results of the Lateral Calcaneal Artery Skin Flap for covering wound at posteriorheel region. Methods: Retrospective study was carried out for posterior heel defects being reconstructed by LateralCalcaneal Artery Skin Flap at Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital during 1995-2008.Data including gender age causes of injury flap design techniques and complications were collected from the medical records. Results:There were total of 56 cases 37 males and 19 females (M : F = 1.94 : 1) in this study. The most common age groupwas 16-20 years (46.4%) and the major cause of these posterior heel injury was motorcycle accident (67.8%). The surgical techniques were Transposition flap for 45 patients and Island flap for 11 patients. There was one patient developing complication from tip flap necrosis in this series. Conclusion: The Lateral Calcaneal Artery Skin Flap ofwhich the surgical procedure is simple and not complicated. The result of operations were impressive and this typeof flap was recommended for posterior heel reconstruction.
