Nonodontogenictoothache
Keywords:
Nonodontogenic toothache, Nonodontogenic painAbstract
Non-odontogenic toothache has often caused considerable concern among dentists and patients. Since its symptoms are similar to those of odontogenic toothache and the diagnosis is not likely to reveal true dental pathology, this could result in confusion and unnecessary treatment. This article reviews the existing literature related to non-odontogenic toothache with the aim to broaden the dentists’ knowledge of this topic in order that they can accurately and effectively diagnose and treat the patients.
