รายงานผู้ป่วย: การบูรณะฟันตัดบนซี่กลางที่หักด้วยเดือยฟันและครอบฟันร่วมกับการศัลยกรรมเพิ่มความยาว ตัวฟันหน้าบน

ผู้ป่วยจำนวนมากต้องการเก็บรักษาฟันธรรมชาติของตนไว้เพื่อใช้งานให้นานที่สุดแม้ว่าฟันนั้นจะเกิดพยาธิสภาพแล้วก็ตาม การรักษาต่างๆ อาทิ การรักษาคลองรากฟัน การบูรณะฟัน การรักษาโรคปริทันต์ เป็นวิธีการแก้ไขเพื่อให้ฟันที่มีพยาธิสภาพกลับมาทำหน้าที่ได้ รายงานนี้นำเสนอการรักษาผู้ป่วยหญิงอายุ 22 ปี ที่มีปัญหาฟันหน้าบนหักเหลือตัวฟันทางคลินิกน้อย ให้การวินิจฉัยคือ previously treated with crown fracture, healed apical tissue (with over root canal filling) ด้วยวิธีศัลยกรรมเพิ่มความยาวตัวฟันทางคลินิกก่อนการบูรณะด้วยเดือยฟันและครอบฟัน รวมทั้งการทำศัลยกรรมปริทันต์เพิ่มความยาวตัวฟันหน้าบนซี่อื่นๆเพื่อแก้ไขสภาวะตัวฟันทางคลินิกสั้นไปพร้อมกัน การวางแผนการรักษาในครั้งนี้คำนึงถึงบริบทปัจจัยต่างๆ ของผู้ป่วยด้วย อาทิ ความต้องการด้านความสวยงาม ข้อจำกัดในการเดินทางและระยะเวลาในการมารับการรักษา การปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมการรับประทานอาหารที่ไม่เหมาะสม เป็นต้น เพื่อคงสภาพผลการรักษาและการมีสุขภาพช่องปากโดยรวมที่ดีในระยะยาว
