บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อรวบรวมและสะท้อนแนวทางพัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่จะส่งเสริมบทบาทของนักเทคโนโลยีหัวใจและทรวงอกในโรงเรียนแพทย์ให้มีความสมบูรณ์โดดเด่นยิ่งขึ้น โดยข้อมูลมาจากการรวบรวมผลงานตีพิมพ์ด้านเทคโนโลยีหัวใจและทรวงอกร่วมกับแนวคิดเกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนา ซึ่งโรงเรียนแพทย์หรือโรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยเป็นสถานพยาบาลระดับตติยภูมิที่รับรักษาโรคซับซ้อนจากพื้นที่ต่างๆ ของประเทศ ข้อมูลที่ได้จากการตรวจรักษายังถือเป็นส่วนสำคัญที่สามารถนำมาวิเคราะห์วิจัยและรวบรวมเป็นองค์ความรู้แก่นักศึกษาและประชาชนทั่วไป พันธกิจของโรงเรียนแพทย์จึงมีทั้งการบริการสุขภาพ การเรียนการสอนหรือบริการวิชาการ และการค้นคว้าวิจัยเพื่อสร้างสรรค์สิ่งใหม่ บุคลากรที่ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในโรงเรียนแพทย์ทั้งสายวิชาการ สายวิชาชีพเฉพาะ และสายธุรการจึงถูกกระตุ้นให้มีคุณลักษณะที่สอดคล้องกับพันธกิจหลักขององค์กร คือ เป็นนักปฏิบัติ นักถ่ายทอด และนักคิด นักเทคโนโลยีหัวใจและทรวงอกซึ่งเป็นบุคลากรสายวิชาชีพเฉพาะนอกจากต้องมีคุณสมบัติทั้งสามนั้นแล้ว เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายองค์กร เพื่อความก้าวหน้าในวิชาชีพ และเพื่อให้คงอยู่ได้อย่างโดดเด่นในทุกสภาวการณ์จึงควรมีคุณลักษณะที่สี่คือนักบูรณาการในการปฏิบัติงานด้วย
