ฤทธิ์ต้านอนุมูลอิสระและฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรียของสารสกัดจากดอกทองกวาว

บทคัดย่อ

ทองกวาวเป็นพืชที่มีการใช้ในทางการแพทย์แผนโบราณมาช้านาน โดยมีการรายงานว่ามีสารออกฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพหลายชนิด เช่น flavonoids, phenolics, และ tannins ซึ่งมีคุณสมบัติต้านอนุมูลอิสระ งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปริมาณสารประกอบฟีนอลิกรวม ฤทธิ์การต้านอนุมูลอิสระและฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรียของสารสกัดดอกทองกวาวที่สกัดด้วย 50% เอทานอล โดยหาปริมาณฟีนอลิกรวมด้วยวิธี Folin-Ciocalteu วิเคราะห์ฤทธิ์ต้านอนุมูลอิสระด้วยวิธี DPPH assay และ FRAP assay จากนั้นศึกษาฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรียด้วยวิธี Broth dilution เพื่อหาค่าความเข้มข้นต่ำสุดที่สามารถยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรีย (MIC) และค่าความเข้มข้นต่ำสุดที่ฆ่าเชื้อแบคทีเรีย (MBC) โดยศึกษาการยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรีย Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans, Bacillus subtilis และ Escherichia coli ผลการศึกษาพบว่าปริมาณสารฟีนอลิกรวมเท่ากับ 65±0.014 mg of gallic acid equivalent/g of extract ผลการศึกษาฤทธิ์ต้านอนุมูลอิสระด้วยวิธี DPPH และ FRAP assay แสดงผลด้วยค่า IC50 เท่ากับ 0.44±1.181 mg/ml และ 16.054±0.188 mg/ml ตามลำดับ ผลการศึกษาฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรียพบว่าสารสกัดดอกทองกวาวมีค่า MIC และ MBC อยู่ในช่วง 1.56 ถึง 200 mg/mL ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่าสารสกัดดอกทองกวาวมีสารออกฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพที่มีฤทธิ์ต้านอนุมูลอิสระและฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรียก่อโรค อย่างไรก็ตามควรศึกษาเพิ่มเติมด้วยการแยกองค์ประกอบของสารและการแยกเป็นสารบริสุทธิ์ เพื่อให้มีความเข้าใจถึงกลไกการออกฤทธิ์ของสารออกฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น
