Study on the quality of Propranolol hydrochloride tablets in 10 th Public Health Region

Abstract

               Propranolol Hydrochloride is beta blocker and a prescription medication used to treat hypertension, acute myocardial infraction, arrhythmias, cardiovascular and migraine. Which is sold in drug store and drug registration 23 manufactory 50 registerednumbers. But is not quality control. Propranolol hydrochloride tablets is the selected drugs to quality for propranolol hydrochloride tablets in 10^th health region. The samples were randomized form 5 pharmacies in 5 provinces (Ubonratchathani, Srisaket, Yasothorn, Aumnatjarern, Mukdahan) between October 2019 to September 2020 for analyzed the quality of drugs follow by The United States Pharmacopeia 42 in identification, assay, content uniformity, weight variation and dissolution test. The 31 samples, Are 28 sample from 10 mg for 5 manufactory 5 registered numbers and 3 sample form 40 mg for 2 manufactory 2 registered numbers were analyzed. The result, All samples passed in identification, assay, content uniformity, weight variation and dissolution test. The study showed that propranolol hydrochloride tablets have been quality, can be used as information for pharmacy and be the drug quality for consumers.
