Abstract

Abstract

Objective: The research and development study aimed to develop a model of
controlling for fasting plasma glucose and drug uses for Patient Diabetes Mellitus type-2 who have been sent to treat in District Health Promoting Hospital in the area responsibility of Maung Sam Sib District, between 1 December 2022 to 31 January 2023.

Methods: The study was divided into three strep.  The first strep, collection the data for developing a model of Fasting plasma glucose and drug uses for Patient Diabetes by Indepth Interview about drug usage, food and vegetable consumption and exercise. Otherwise, developing the research Instrument and semi-structured interview for collection data test. The second strep, content validity test for semi-structured interview by expert researcher, try-out semi-structured interview and put to trail model of controlling for fasting plasma glucose and drug uses for Patient Diabetes for 30 Patient Diabetes in district health promotion hospital (DHPH) who have not complication conditions. The third strep,
purpose sampling random from Diabetes Mellitus patient type-2(DM-typeII) who had HbA1c level between 5-9.9% by R.V. Krejcei and D.W.Morgan table. Calculating sampling random quantity about 390 of diabetes patient and david two group as experiment group and control group. The data were collected by questionnaire about behavior of drug, food, fruits, vegetable consumption (glycemic index<70), difference HbA1c level and analyzed using frequency, percentage and paired sample t-test, was used to define significance at p-value < 0.05 of  HbA1c level of experiment group and control group.

Results: The results showed, the totally sample group was 333 DM-type II patients. There were 186 DM-type II patients in control group, most of them were women 95 persons, the mean age was 59-60 years old, mean difference HbA1c level was decreased 0.33 (p-value < .05) or was decreased about 4.18%, there were 98 DM-type II patients (70%) who could decreased mean HbA1c level about 0.89 or 10.8. The HbA1c level was significantly decreased in intervention group (M = -0.3279, SD =1.03) compared to control group (t (331) = -9.394, p-value< .05). There was only creatinine clearance that was deviation. It was considered approve to use in life-style of DM-type II patients but make them to understand Rational of drugs, food, fruits consumption and exercise usually.

Key words: Diabetes, Lifestyle Model Decrease HbA1c1, Drugs and HbA1c.
