Abstract

This study aims to develop  of The effect of the health behavior change program of hypertensive patients in Bang Kluea Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province. Use a health behavior modification program for hypertensive patients. By applying Roger's prophylactic motivation theory (Roger, 1983) in organizing activities to promote health awareness among patients. The comparison group did not participate in the program. Data were collected before the experiment and after the experiment, the data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation. and to compare the results between study groups using Independent samples t - test.

The results of the study showed that The experimental group had knowledge of hypertension. After the experiment, there was a statistically significant increase of .05 more than before and more than the comparison group. There was a statistically significant increase in post-experimental food consumption behavior over pre-test and more than the comparison group at .05. The dietary behaviors after the experiment increased more than the pre-test and statistically greater than the comparison group at .05. The application of this health behavior modification program to promote health for patients in other departments continues.
