Project Evaluation of New Service System Development of Instant Dental Prosthesis and Community Care in Kaset Sombun District, Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract

The objectives of this descriptive research were to evaluate the new service system development project of instant dental prosthesis and community care in terms of quality service , satisfaction and oral health-related quality of life of patients who wore dental  prosthesis . Including the satisfaction of relevant health personnel.  The sample group consisted of 51 patients who wore dental prosthesis at Banduea and Banhun district health promotion hospital and health personnel in the same places  to 4 people  each . And the village health volunteers to 10 people each.  The research instrument was a questionnaire consisting of the service quality assessment form , satisfaction with dental prosthesis and oral health-related quality of life after wore dental prosthesis . Data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics; including number, percentage, average and standard deviation. The results showed that the most patients who received dental prosthesis serviced were full dentures category (68.6 %) and wearing dental prosthesis 98.0%.  Using chewing and beauty 90.2%.  Most patients had dental cleaning with toothpaste and toothbrush 74.5%. Removing denture while sleeping at night most denture will remove water soak 82.4%.The overall satisfaction of the patients to dental  prosthesis  service in district health promotion  hospitals  was at the level of high satisfaction (=3.84 , SD = 0.26). The most satisfying was the attentiveness and willingness of the service providers, there are polite gentle manners (= 3.92) . The least satisfying was long waiting time in each service. Regarding the oral health-related quality of life , there were 68.6% patients who had no impact on quality of life in oral health (OIDP=3.19+7.03).  The effects that affect quality of life is the most common is the eating were 21.6 %. The overall satisfaction of relevant health personnel to dental prosthesis  service in district health promotion  hospitals  was at the level of high satisfaction (= 3.91 , SD=0.15) . The most satisfying was the attentiveness and willingness of the service providers, there are polite gentle manners and reduction of waiting time for dental prosthesis at hospital (= 4.00). The least   satisfying was not enough budget.

There should be an improvement of the dental prosthesis service system at the district health promotion hospital in terms of reducing waiting time for services and supporting enough budget. To make patients more satisfied.
