Effects of resilience intervention program on anxiety of nursing students

Abstract

This study was a quasi-experimental research, pre-posttest control group design. The purpose of this study was the effect of resilience intervention program on anxiety of nursing student in the university. A sample was studying in the first year of 30 nursing students by the volunteer as a control group and an experimental group each of 15 nursing students. The instruments applied in data are resilience intervention program, resilience inventory and state-trait anxiety inventory. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis chi square test and t-test. The results it was found that the sample in experimental group had a higher of resilience in resilience intervention program than before receiving program and the control group’s scores at of .05  level

The sample in experimental group had a lower of anxiety scores in resilience intervention program than before receiving program and the control group’s scores at of .05 level Resulting from this research can be using to develop program to enhance the nursing students having the resilience increased and anxiety reduction.
