FACTORS PREDICTING QUALITY OF LIFE OF HIV INFECTED AND AIDS PATIENTS IN HUAI YOT HOSPITAL, TRANG PROVINCE

This research aimed to study the quality of life of HIV infected and AIDS. Study the relationship between personal factors, health factors, social support with quality of life and study the factors predicting
the quality of life of HIV infected and AIDS patients in Huai Yot hospital, Trang province. The sample consisted of 188 HIV and AIDS patients registered with HIV and AIDS at special clinic in Huai Yot hospital, Trang province. The data were collected with questionnaires: personal factor, health factors, social support factor and quality of life of HIV and AIDS patients with reliability value 0.902. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, Eta coefficient and multiple linear regression with enter were used in the
analysis.
The results showed that the overall of quality of life with HIV infected and AIDS patients were rated at moderate level. Personal factors: gender, occupation, income were positively associated with quality of life at high level and education, marital status were positively associated with quality of life at moderate level. Furthermore, the factors affecting to quality of life showed that gender, resource support and social support were statistical significant factor that predicted the quality of life 47.90% with HIV infected and
AIDS patients.
