Developing Process for Risk Management Report System Roi-Et Hospital, Roi-Et Province

Abstract

Risk management in hospitals is an important part of quality health care development towards Hospital Accreditation and also to focus on security surveillance systems for safety of patients and health personnel (2P Safety). This participation action research aimed at studying the development of risk report system and alert notices or risk management in Roi Et hospital. A total of 80 samples were health personnel in hospital. The study was carried out during February to June, 2018. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected. Descriptive statistics, including percentage, average, standard deviation and inferential statistics such as Paired Simple t-test were employed for data analyses. The research found that an eight-stage risk report system and alert notice development process; 1) Context and risk situation analysis, 2) Planning development, 3) 2P Safety Policy announcement, 4) Risk report participatory meeting, 5) 2P Safety campaign, 6) Risk Reporting via QR Code, 7) Followed-up, and 8) Lesson learned action, showed an effective on risk report system and alert notice development. The mean scores of risk management roles, knowledge, participation, practices, satisfaction, and safety culture were significantly increased. Furthermore, ROIET Model for risk report system and alert notices was occurred. In conclusion, key successful factors in risk report system and alert notice development process included 3P: P-Policy, P-Participation, and P-Proactive.
