A Case Report: Pediatric General Anesthesia in COVID-19 Patient
Main Article Content
บทคัดย่อ
The COVID-19 pandemic presents a
challenge to the global healthcare systems. Pediatric
population apparently less affected compare to adult
population. Nevertheless, aerosol generating procedure
such as during airway management in a non-compliant
child poses a particular threat to health care provider. A
case report: A Thai 4-year old male with COVID-19
infection was scheduled for bone marrow harvest. General
anesthesia was conducted without any complications.
Conclusion: General anesthesia with rapid sequence
induction is one of the safe techniques for COVID-19
pediatric patient. However, the appropriate PPE and
anesthetic equipment are essential for safety during airway
management.
