ความรู้ ทัศนคติ และการมีส่วนร่วมของบิดาในการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา

การเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดามีประโยชน์อย่างมากต่อมารดา ทารก และครอบครัว ผู้เป็นบิดามีบทบาทที่สำคัญอย่างยิ่งต่อการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนานี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความรู้ ทัศนคติ และการมีส่วนร่วมของบิดาในการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นชายที่เป็นบิดาของบุตรคนแรก บุตรมีอายุระหว่าง 6–8 สัปดาห์ มารับบริการที่คลินิกสุขภาพเด็กดี โรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพเชียงใหม่ จำนวน 102 ราย ในระหว่างเดือนกรกฎาคม ถึง กันยายน พ.ศ. 2557 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูลมี 3 ชุด ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามความรู้ของบิดาเกี่ยวกับการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา แบบสอบถามทัศนคติของบิดาเกี่ยวกับการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดาของ และแบบสอบถามการมีส่วนร่วมของบิดาในการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพรรณนา สหสัมพันธ์เพียร์สัน
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า บิดามีส่วนร่วมในการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดาในระดับมาก และพบว่าความรู้ของบิดาเกี่ยวกับการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดามีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวก กับการมีส่วนร่วมของบิดาในการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ( r = .27 , p < .01) ทัศนคติของบิดาในการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับการมีส่วนร่วมของบิดาในการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ( r = .21 , p < .05)
จากผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้มีข้อเสนอแนะว่า ผู้เป็นบิดาควรได้รับความรู้เกี่ยวกับการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา และควรได้รับการส่งเสริมให้มีทัศนคติด้านบวกต่อการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้บิดาเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการเลี้ยงบุตรด้วยนมมารดา
