การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนามีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยของหัวหน้าหน่วยวิสัญญีพยาบาลมุมมองของผู้เชี่ยวชาญ กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านวิสัญญีพยาบาลและบุคลากรทางสุขภาพที่เกี่ยวข้อง มีคุณสมบัติตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด จำนวน 16 คน วิธีดำเนินการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 3 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 สอบถามความคิดเห็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้วยข้อคำถามปลายเปิดและปลายปิด ขั้นตอนที่ 2 สร้างแบบสอบถามแบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่าโดยใช้ข้อมูลที่ได้จากขั้นตอนที่ 1 ส่งกลับไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเพื่อจัดลำดับความสำคัญและยืนยันความคิดเห็น ขั้นตอนที่ 3 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่ได้จากขั้นตอนที่ 2 โดยคำนวณหาค่ามัธยฐานและค่าพิสัยระหว่างควอไทล์ จากนั้นส่งแบบสอบถามกลับไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญอีกครั้งเพื่อหาฉันทามติ
ผลการวิจัย สมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยของหัวหน้าหน่วยวิสัญญีพยาบาล มีค่ามัธยฐานอยู่ระหว่าง 4.00 - 5.00 และมีค่าพิสัยระหว่างควอไทล์ อยู่ระหว่าง 0.00-1.00 มีสมรรถนะทั้งหมด 6 ด้าน (สมรรถนะย่อย 83 ข้อ) ได้แก่ (1) สมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยด้านการสร้างเสริมวัฒนธรรมความปลอดภัย 19 ข้อ (2) สมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยด้านการทำงานร่วมกันเพื่อความปลอดภัย 8 ข้อ (3) สมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยด้านการสื่อสารอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพเพื่อความปลอดภัย 19 ข้อ (4) สมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยด้านการจัดการความปลอดภัยและความเสี่ยง 16 ข้อ (5) สมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยด้านการสร้างเสริมปัจจัยทางทรัพยากรมนุษย์และสิ่งแวดล้อม 10 ข้อ และ (6) สมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยด้านการรายงานความปลอดภัยที่มีคุณภาพ 11 ข้อ จากการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่าองค์ประกอบสมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยแทรกอยู่ในผู้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลง ผู้นำแลกเปลี่ยน และผู้นำใฝ่บริการ ผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้สามารถใช้เป็นแนวทางในการประเมินสมรรถนะผู้นำความปลอดภัยของหัวหน้าหน่วยวิสัญญีพยาบาลได้
