บทบาทที่ท้าทายของพยาบาลผดุงครรภ์ในช่วงการแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อโคโรน่าไวรัส 2019

ปัจจุบันโรคติดเชื้อโคโรน่าไวรัส 2019 (COVID-19) เป็นโรคอุบัติใหม่ที่มีอัตราการขยายเชื้อสูง และแพร่ระบาดอย่างรวดเร็ว ในสถานการณ์ทั่วโลกพบผู้ติดเชื้อและเสียชีวิตเป็นจำนวนมาก โดยอัตราการเกิดความรุนแรงต่อชีวิต
พบในกลุ่มผู้มีระดับภูมิคุ้มกันในร่างกายต่ำ หรือผู้ที่มีความพิการแต่กำเนิด ผู้สูงอายุ ผู้ที่มีภาวะน้ำหนักเกิน ผู้ป่วยโรคเรื้อรัง และสตรีตั้งครรภ์ ในประเทศไทยพบสตรีตั้งครรภ์ที่มีการติดเชื้อโคโรน่าไวรัส 2019 เพิ่มขึ้นเป็นจำนวนมาก โดยการติดเชื้อในสตรีตั้งครรภ์จะเพิ่มความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดภาวะแทรกซ้อน และอาการที่รุนแรงทำให้เสียชีวิตได้มากกว่าสตรีทั่วไป นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าการติดเชื้อโคโรน่าไวรัส 2019 ในสตรีตั้งครรภ์มีผลกระทบต่อทารกทำให้มีความเสี่ยงต่อการแท้ง ทารกเจริญเติบโตช้าในครรภ์ ถุงน้ำคร่ำแตกก่อนกำหนด รวมทั้งทารกในครรภ์และทารกแรกเกิดเสียชีวิตได้สูงขึ้น ส่งผลต่อสภาพจิตใจของสตรีตั้งครรภ์ ผู้คลอด และครอบครัว
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอสาเหตุ ผลกระทบ และบทบาทที่ท้าทายของพยาบาลผดุงครรภ์ในช่วงที่มีการแพร่ระบาดของโรคติดเชื้อโคโรน่าไวรัส 2019 ซึ่งพยาบาลผดุงครรภ์เป็นบุคลากรทางสาธารณสุขที่ต้องปรับเปลี่ยนตนเองเพื่อให้ก้าวทันต่อสถานการณ์ในช่วงที่มีการแพร่ระบาดของโรคติดเชื้อโคโรน่าไวรัส 2019 ปฏิบัติการพยาบาลโดยคำนึงถึงบทบาทที่ต้องปรับเปลี่ยนไปจากภาวะปกติ สามารถส่งเสริมสุขภาพ ป้องกันการติดเชื้อ ให้การดูแล ฟื้นฟูสภาพร่างกายและจิตใจ แก่สตรีวัยเจริญพันธุ์ สตรีตั้งครรภ์ ผู้คลอด และมารดาหลังคลอดให้มีความปลอดภัยได้อย่างเหมาะสม
