ผลกระทบของโรคต่อสุขภาพและปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องของผู้ป่วยโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรัง

ผลกระทบของโรคต่อสุขภาพ เป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่บ่งชี้คุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ที่เป็นโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรัง การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาผลกระทบของโรคต่อสุขภาพของผู้ป่วยโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรัง และ 2) ศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผลกระทบของโรคต่อสุขภาพและปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง ได้แก่ ระยะเวลาที่ได้รับการวินิจฉัยโรค โรคร่วม ความรุนแรงของโรค การสูบบุหรี่ และภาวะโภชนาการ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ที่ได้รับการวินิจฉัยว่าเป็นโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรังที่มารักษา ณ คลินิกโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรัง สถาบันโรคทรวงอก จำนวน 168 ราย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลประกอบด้วย ข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล ข้อมูลทางสุขภาพ และแบบประเมิน The COPD Assessment Test (CAT) ใช้ในการประเมินผลกระทบของโรคต่อสุขภาพในผู้ป่วยโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรัง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพรรณนา และสถิติ Spearman rank-order correlation coefficient
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างร้อยละ 61.3 มีผลกระทบของโรคต่อสุขภาพอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า ผลกระทบของโรคต่อสุขภาพมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับโรคร่วมในระดับต่ำ (rs = .155, p < .05) มีความสัมพันธ์ทางลบกับภาวะโภชนาการในระดับต่ำ (rs = -.263, p < .01) แต่ไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับระยะเวลาการวินิจฉัยโรค ความรุนแรงของโรค และการสูบบุหรี่
ผลการศึกษานี้แสดงว่า การจัดการภาวะโภชนาการและการควบคุมโรคร่วม สามารถนำไปใช้ให้เป็นประโยชน์ในการเพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพในผู้ป่วยโรคปอดอุดกั้นเรื้อรังได้
