Factors Related to Anemia during Pregnancy of Muslim Women Who Received Delivery Services in the Community Hospitals, Pattani Province

The aim of this descriptive research was to explore the incidence of anemia during pregnancy and investigate factors related to anemia during pregnancy among Muslim women who received delivery services in community hospitals of Pattani Province.Sample were 332 medical records of Muslim women who received delivery services in community hospitals.The 14-item questionnaire, developed by researcher, used as research tool was collected anemia data.Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi square and multiple logistic regression.
The results showed that the 32.8% of Muslim women who received delivery services in community hospitals had anemia during pregnancy. Gestational age at the first visit, Completion at least 5 visits of antenatal clinic, and the gravidity were related significantly to Anemia during Pregnancy of Muslim Women (p<.05).Multivariate analysis showed that gestational age at the first visit was significantly influence anemia in pregnancy. (OR=2.114, 95%CI 1.33 - 3.37).
