This quasi-experimental research study aimed at examining the effectiveness of a creative 3-D Pop-Up book by comparing the baseline and the post language development (LD) scores in toddlers with ages ranging from 1 to 3 years old. The samples consisted of 24 toddlers, who were attending the Childcare Centers at the Boromarajonani College of Nursing of Trang (BCNT) and at Khaowiset Village. The participants at the BCNT were assigned to the experimental group, while those at the Khaowiset Village were recruited for the control group. The study was conducted for four months starting from September 2020 to December 2020. To promote the language development of children between the ages of 1-3 years, 3-dimensional Pop-Up books were created, which included fun rhymes and a set of cards. The data was collected using demographic and LD questionnaires. Frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations were used to analyze the descriptive data. The independent t-test was used to determine the degree of significance of the differences. The findings indicated that after using the creative 3-D Pop-Up book, the mean LD score in the intervention group had been higher, compared to score prior to using the book (p = 0.05). Moreover, the post-mean LD score of the intervention group had been significantly higher than that of the control group with a p-value of 0.05. Since the creative 3-D Pop-Up book had been effective in promoting the language development of the toddlers, this medium should be wisely used by nurses to enhance language development.
