Development of instructional package on the Topic Nursing Teamwork with Simulation based learning for nursing students
Keywords:
Simulation Based Learning, Nursing Students, Nursing TeamworkAbstract
The research study aimed to 1) develop the instructional package on the topic of nursing teamwork package with Simulation based learning for nursing students, in which the instructional learning was set as having efficiency according to the standard criterion of 80/80; 2) compare the learning performance achievement in nursing team work in this practicum between before and after using the instructional package, and 3) study the satisfaction with the instructional package of nursing students. The sample in this research was 129 senior nursing students. The students were purposively selected during their second semester of the academic year 2016 of Boromarajonani Nursing College of Suratthani. The instruments consisted of a researcher-developed the instructional on the topic of nursing teamwork package with Simulation based learning for nursing students and questionnaires assessing nursing team management skills and achievement test and satisfaction with the instructional package learning. The data were analyzed for means, standard deviations, and for mean differences with dependent t-test.
The study revealed the following results: 1) The researcher-developed instructional package had a level of efficiency at 83.86/84.32 within 80/80 criterion. 2) The learning performance achievement score in Nursing Administration Practicum on the topic of nursing team work for the 4th year nursing students after using the instructional package was significantly higher than that before using the instructional package (p <0.01). The overall score of satisfaction with the instructional on the topic of nursing teamwork package with Virtual Simulation for nursing students was ranked at a high level.
The results of this research suggest that are supportive in promoting learning management by instructional package on the topic of nursing teamwork package with Simulation based learning for nursing students.
