Keywords:
Nursing students, Factor, Readiness, Student-centered LearningAbstract
This descriptive research study aimed at studying the factors influencing the student-centered Learning readiness of nursing students. The sample was composed of 178 1st and 2nd year nursing students registering inacademic year 2018 Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Cangwat Nonthaburi. They were selected by sample random sampling technique. The research tool is a questionnaire about the factors influencing student-centered Learning readiness in nursing students. The questionnaire had confidence at the level of .80 respectively. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and multiple regressions.
The results found that the nursing students had high level of the student-centered Learning readiness (Mean =3.59, S.D.= 0.45). There were 4 variables influencing student-centered Learning readiness in nursing students including class (X2) Learning style (X3) attitude toward self-center learning (X4) and achievement motivation (X5). They were able to predict the readiness of the nursing students in student-centered learning with statistical significance at the level of .05 and multiple correlation coefficient (R) .71. The forecast coefficient (R2) was at .51. The standard error value was at .32. All of four variables could predict the readiness of nursing students in learning-centered was at about 50.9 percent.
Factors influencing student-centered Learning readiness in nursing students can be written as the predictive equation in the raw score as follows;
Y = -0.937+ 0 .266 (X3)+ 0.447(X4) + 0.535(X5) + 0.147 (X2)
They can be written as predictive equation in the standard score as follows
Z Mdn = + 0.235(ZX3)+ 0.375(ZX4)+ 0.397 (ZX5)+0.163 (ZX2)
