Self-help groups are voluntary groups from a group of people with similar problems to share those experiences. The group of people will determine the objectives and proceed to participate in group activities learn about how to coping from individuals within the group, to be apply to oneself without having a specialist. Self-help groups are one activity that helps the nursing goal to be successful for patients can take care of themselves and coping. This academic article aims to present the role of nurses in making self-help groups to improve and promote the quality of life of adolescents with cancer. The role of nurses in making self-help groups is responsible for helping, support various benefits, promote a friendly atmosphere, atmosphere of participation, checking and editing information and allow members to know the correct information Including the actual successful experience resulting in a better quality of life for adolescents with cancer
