Development of Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline for Breast Cancer Patients Post-Modified Radical Mastectomy in Woman Surgical Ward 2 Suratthani Hospital

The objectives of this research and development were to 1) Develop clinical nursing practice guidelines Evidence-based breast cancer surgery patients 2) Evaluate clinical outcomes using the guideline. Conducting research from August to October 2020. The sample were 1) 30 breast cancer patients treated with MRM in female surgical wards 2 and 2) 15 professional nurses working in female surgery wards. The research tools were 1) Clinical nursing practice guideline for patients undergoing reconstructive mastectomy with difficulty and ability to implement In both preoperative, postoperative and preoperative periods, the conformity index was greater than .67 in all joints and in both preoperative and postoperative periods. Post-surgery and pre-discharge phase 2) a clinical outcome record form. Data were analyzed by using frequency and percentage and standard deviation.
The results of the study revealed that 1) the nursing practice guideline consisted of 4 steps: 1) the preoperative step; It is a physical assessment and a psychological assessment. 2) Postoperative procedures: 1day postoperative nursing and continuous nursing. to prevent infection A lump of lymph fluid builds up under the skin. shoulder joint protection and prevention of swollen arms. 3) The pre-discharge procedure allows patients to participate in group activities. to exchange knowledge and 4) the discharge process is a recommendation for a follow-up visit by a doctor and giving advice on how to behave when going home 2) To assess the clinical outcomes from the use of the guideline, it was found that the clinical outcomes The surgical wound was not found with bleeding. No infected wound was found. No lymph lumps under the skin (seroma, no swollen arms, and no shoulder joints). Satisfaction results. The patient's satisfaction was at a high level and practitioner outcomes it is easy to implement, not complicated, and can be applied immediately to patients undergoing surgery for modified root canal breast cancer. The developed nursing practice guideline can be applied in the care of patients with modified malignant breast cancer.
