Abstract

Objective: To investigate the organization's commitment level and organization's communications awareness level of people who worked in Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.

Methods: (Survey research) The questionnaires were distributed to 262 people who actively worked and currently working with Radiology Department, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. The period of survey started from November 2010 to February 2011. The questionnaires included: demographic data of respondents; factors that affect to the performance and organization's commitments and suggestions. The questionnaires was divided into the 1-5 range and data analysisi was conducted with frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. Using the software package SPSS Version 18.

Results: Respondents were mostly female (66%), age in the range of 20-30 years (43.9%), single (59.5%), bachelor degree (62.6%), the respondents who operated in group of medical radiation, radiological workers, medical physicists, engineers and scientists (33.2%), work experience less than 5 years (47.3%) and salary 10,000 to 15,000 baht (37.8%). Additional, there are first three factors have affecting at the performance: (1) Factor of career advancement (mean 3.61), (2) Command factors (mean 3.58) and (3) Safety factors showed that organization's commitment: (1) The participation and organization solution (mean 4.27), (2) Satisfactions for working in organization (mean 4.23) and (3) Proud to tell others that worked at the Ramathibodi Hospital (mean 4.19). As for work environment awareness and organization's information are at middle level (meam 3.32 and 3.42).

Conclusion: Tha staff of Radiology Department has binding to the organization atalevel high to middle. Most of the needed to participation for organization solution. They have satisfied for working in this organization and proud to tell others that worked at the Ramathibodi Hospital. There is middle level at the performance climate and organization's information awareness.
