Physical Activity of Health Status and Prevention Diseases in Late School-Age Children

Abstract

Physical activity is essential for late school-age children because it has foundation for improving their health, brain development, and learning. Having enough physical activity will impact the daily activity and health during childhood, especially in improving physical competence or physical functions, movement skills, healthy metabolism, weight control, cognitive function, cognitive learning, an increase in memory, cognition, brain functions in both short and long-term, mental health promotion, emotional quotient, social skills, good decision, assertive, creative thinking, good communications and relationship, good personality and quality of life. Additionally, it helps to increase the immune and prevent diseases as primary and secondary prevention from chronic noncommunicable diseases. Conversely, insufficient physical activity during childhood might impact health overall; physical development, learning, intellectual, psychological, emotional, and psychosocial part among children who are the key person in the future.
