As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

  1. Title Page: Include the following details:

   - Full title

   - Abbreviated title

   - Authors' names, surnames, positions, and affiliations

   - Contact information including address, telephone number, fax, and email of all authors for correspondence with the editor

   - If the work has been previously presented at a conference, specify the conference name, location, and date of presentation

   - If the research has been funded, please specify the funding source

  1. Abstract: Provide both Thai and English versions. The content should not exceed 200 words and should include the study objectives, materials and methods, results, and a concise conclusion.
  2. Keywords: Beneath the English abstract, provide up to 10 keywords. Ensure that the keywords align with the Index Medicus standards.

Text should not be longer than 2 printed pages. Write in order of topic as follows:

  • The introduction tells the reason or purpose.
  • Materials or patients, methods of study.
  • Study results
  • Reviews should focus on the analysis of the author's study.
  • summarize

Using abbreviations If in English Use capital letters and the full word first the first time you use it. Except for the international measurement

Measurements use the metric system only.

Drug names should use chemical names. Do not use trade names

Acknowledgments (Acknowledgement) mentions those who help support the work. but is not named as a co-author. If you are a statistician, please specify your degree.

 

References: Use the Vancouver format. All items must be referenced in the passage and numbered according to their use. Must have already been published. or wait for publication in the latter case at the end, state the name of the journal and the words in parentheses. (waiting for publication) or (in press) references to works that have not been published This may be done by including the name of the owner of the work in the story and noting in parentheses: (Unpublished) It may not be included in the sequence of references.

For reference documents using Thai names Specify the name of the author. followed by last name For English names, use the author's last name, followed by the initials of the first and middle names. If there are no more than 6 authors, enter everyone's names. If there are more than 6, enter the first 3 names, followed by the word et al  (For Thai language, use the word   “et al.”) Name of the journal in English Use the abbreviated name of the journal as specified in the Index Medicus edition. List of journals indexed in index Medicus. Thai journals use the full name.

For the journal THAI JOURNAL OF OTOLARYNGOLOGY HEAD AND NECK SURGERY, use the abbreviation THAI J OTOLARYNGOL HEAD NECK SURG

Tables or charts are to be delivered as files together with the contents. Details in the table should not appear redundant in the text. Consider it part of the story.

Figure should be a high-quality photograph. Delivered together with the article. The patient's face must be clearly visible and the eyes must be closed. or there is a letter of consent from the patient attached

Figure Legends: Every figure must have a figure description by typing it under the file picture together with the story. Image descriptions should not appear redundant in the story. Picture taken from a microscope. The magnification power and dye used must be specified.
