Abstract

Antenatal care (ANC) is an important part of health promotion. It is provided by health-care professionals to ensure the best health conditions for both mother and baby during pregnancy. Pregnant women without prenatal care are substantially at risks of health problems during pregnancy, prenatal and postnatal periods resulting in poor neonatal outcomes.

            Nursing care for pregnant women with no ANC in labor room is considered as an emergency service which aimed to immediately screen potential risks and to evaluate maternal and fetal health status. A systematic approach will lead to a reduction in maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.
