Foot is one of our most important body parts, which is responsible for weight-bearing during activities in diary life. Foot works as a supporter by absorbing and distributing loads on the plantar surface. Repetitive overloading and re-injuries of plantar surface could produce pain and lead to plantar fascia inflammation. This problem is called plantar fasciitis. The symptoms usually come with foot or heel pain on the first step of the day or after prolonged non-weight bearing activity. Several factors could be a risk for plantar fasciitis including prolonged walking or standing, over bodyweight and wearing unsuitable shoes.
